    Kimmy is a wonderful baby that has found herself in our pound when her family decided they didn't have the time to spend with her. She loves people. Our local pound is a high kill shelter that euthanizes for space. The adoption fee includes spaying and rabies vaccine. Please lake Kimmy home and let her know that she won't be thrown away again.

She was admitted to the shelter after being hit by a car. She was tangled up in the car's grill and was stuck for about 20 miles. She is a total lap dog and would love nothing more than to sit and watch TV quietly in your lap. She is Up To Date on all shots . Bootsie weighs 26 pounds. Bootsie is about 10 yrs old but has the heart and soul of a pup. She loves to play fetch with you and will bring what ever you throw for her back to you for more and its great exercise for both Bootsie and her human. Bootsie is Heart Worm negative, and on her monthly preventatives for Heart Worm, Fleas and Ticks. Bootsie will go in a crate and sleep but she much prefers to be with her humans. She is leash trained and rides well in a car. OUT OF STATE adoptions are possible. If you are working with For The Love Of Dogs/Vermont Dog Rescue, the additional fee is $200 to cover transportation costs and the health certificate, which is required to cross state lines. Transport to other areas is dependent on location, fees, and availability of independent transport services. You are always welcome to pick up your new family member. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to 'outside only' homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.     Boston Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Boston Terriers, or Boston Bulls, are small, intelligent dogs. Boston Terriers are gentle and sensitive but can be very playful and rambunctious. Boston Terriers are easy to train since they like to learn and want to please their masters; however, they can be difficult to housebreak. Boston Terriers are exceptionally good with children and the elderly. Boston Terriers do not bark without good reason. Boston Terriers can live in an apartment or in the country, but they are sensitive to extremely hot or cold weather.

    Boston Terriers are bred down in size from pit bulls and other fighting dogs, but modern varieties are not very aggressive. The Boston Terrier was the first pure American breed to be recognized by the American Kennel Club. Boston Terriers are members of the Brachycephalic breeds. Brachycephalic comes from Greek roots meaning short head. Boston Terriers are descended from English Bulldogs crossed with terriers.
