Rescue Me ID: 16-02-02-00247Lucky-ADOPTION PENDING (male)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

It was shocking for our rescuer to walk down the aisle of an extremely dreary high-kill Texas shelter and see the handsome Lucky. Your mind can't help but go to..how and why did this exceptional dog (both inside and out) get in this horrendous situation? It's fortunate that the awesome volunteers at this shelter do everything possible to save the lives of dogs with great temperaments. The numbers are still very disturbing and bring home the urgent need to spay/neuter. Lucky was one of the extremely fortunate as he rode away from the shelter to a new life. Lucky was never properly loved and finally at approximately 9 - 12 months old and ... (Read More)14 lbs, he is safe.. neutered and vaccinated. He'll soon have a spa day where his beautiful coat with the awesome markings will be clean and shiny after a sudsy bath...he'll be so gorgeous! Lucky's great Texas foster is teaching him about appropriate behavior in a home. He is very receptive and his wonderful (and now more and more engaging) personality is emerging. While initially shy and a bit frightened, Lucky warms up into the sweetest guy ever. He's so affectionate and cuddly..and with just a bit of courage and encouragement, he can play with all his heart. His ears fly in the breeze as he plays at his foster's house. Lucky is very receptive and as he turns his head to give you a smile..you see his warm and sensitive eyes. He's so unusually cute and sweet..again the shock that he was about to be euthanized. But since all that is in the past..it's now time for Lucky to have his very own forever family. His foster is working on his courage and socialization in preparation for Lucky's trip to a very lucky Colorado family. This patient training will continue to make Lucky blossom and be the very best adult dog he can be...and there's tons of potential in this engaging little guy. We envision Lucky in an involved family...he would love to walk the CO trails or play in the yard with another respectful dog and his special people. He's growing into a positive and loving guy that it's impossible not to fall in love with. At day's end, he'll be a super-cuddler..and once bonded..a devoted and loyal best friend. Lucky will need periodic spa days..a sudsy bath, nail trim and great nutrition will keep his cotton-soft hair healthy and shiny. Lucky will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 2/5/16. If interested in this sweet pup who is so full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. (Less)
