|Rescue Me ID: 16-02-03-00170Lady (female)|
We found Lady in bad shape. Very skinny, had severe whipworms. She was found near a gas station looking for food. My daughters and I brought her home, fed her, and she slept for hours! The vet said she is young, healthy considering she had been on the streets for awhile. Lady has extreme worms! She is find now. Not house trained! But is intelligent and so eager to please. It won't be hard to train her. She is skittish and at first did not like to be touched. A human hand reaching to pet her was probably considered a danger to her. We've had her a week now and she is desperate for attention. She adores children, dogs, people. Lady needs a new name and a new home. She will be a fine companion in any home! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-03-00415Sadie (female)|
Sadie is a Boston Terrier, Chow chow mix breed dog who is around two years of age. She is very full of energy. Almost like a puppy in an adult dogs body. Don't tell her she's not a lap dog, she won't hear it. She LOVES to cuddle! Sadie enjoys being apart of a pack with other dogs being in that pack. She's currently in a foster home that has five dogs and two human children. She does well with children. Enjoys cuddling them, playing with them and being a part of their life. Sadie is very eager to learn and please. She does sleep on the bed at night with us. To which she keeps her body snuggled in firmly to ours while she sleeps. Thunder and lightning spook her. Sadie is still learning her proper/good manners with things. An example is being gentle with nips. When she gets to excited in play she forgets [almost like how a young puppy does when they are learning]. Her breed is also not a guess. One of the babies from Sadie's litter was adopted by her foster family. A DNA had been done on the baby, so that's how we know what Sadie's side is. For toys, Sadie enjoys tug ropes and squeaker types the most. At least so far. Sadie's favorite food is almost anything raw. She's not a huge fan of liver, but I can trick her into eating it. The diet we've had her on has helped to clean up her teeth, make her coat shine, make her itch less and keep her healthier through her heart worm issue time. Right now Sadie is heart worm positive so she is on restriction a lot with how much we can work with her and how much she is allowed to romp around. This way she doesn't get hurt by getting to excited. Which is hard because she gets very excited very easy over lots of things. She's a very happy pup that tries to be included in everything that goes on. I could see her also making a possible good service dog or ESA for someone who may need a service dog or ESA of her size. So far from what we have seen, her temperament would even be good for that sort of training too. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-12-17-00607Buddy (male)|
Buddy has a sponsor who subsidized his fee to $25. Buddy has been in our shelter 1-1/2 years. In June 2014, Buddy wandered into a neighborhood where his pleasant and affable nature resulted in a collective effort to care for him until space opened in the shelter. He came under our care in Jul 2014. Buddy is a beautiful boy with regal bearing who is of medium sized build. With his human friends he would like to be a lap dog! He loves being out and walking/hiking/playing. Happy to go joy riding in a car. He is 3 years old and weighs 45 lbs. He takes daily medication to keep allergies in control that would otherwise cause skin and ear issues. Buddy has 10 happy, charismatic photos in his Facebook Album at: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1066878093356456.1073741870.548822128495391&type=3 One can see from Buddy's 3 videos that he is funny, playful, smart and loves to be with people. Buddy has 3 videos: https://www.facebook.com/548822128495391/videos/vb.548822128495391/966004686777131/?type=2&theater and at: https://www.facebook.com/548822128495391/videos/vb.548822128495391/966018603442406/?type=2&theater. |Rescue Me ID: 15-08-07-00631Nadia (female)|
Meet Nadia! She is a very special little girl who has stolen the hearts of many. Nadia was found at a local middle school where she was dumped, extremely emaciated and terrified. One of our amazing fosters took her in and with much love and medical attention, Nadia has made a recovery! She does still require a medication that she will likely be on for the rest of her life. Understandably, she's a little shy at first, but when she warms up, she's the life of the party! Nadia's adoption fee is $150 which includes spay, vaccinations and microchip. Are you Nadia's forever family? Contact us via email at TeamSKRescue@gmail. for an application.

Boston Terriers are gentle and sensitive but can be very playful and rambunctious. Boston Terriers are easy to train since they like to learn and want to please their masters; however, they can be difficult to housebreak.
