Portia was adopted from us as a puppy. She is a shih tzu/border terrier mix. At first, the adopters seemed to be very happy with her but in the last two years we have received several calls from authorities saying that she was running loose. We picked her up three times, returning her to the adopters and imploring them to please keep her safe and please register her microchip tag. They did neither. Earlier this month, we were called once again, went to get her and when I called the adopters, they told me that they had moved out of state and had given her away! No matter. We had not planned to return her to them anyway. Before you ... (Read More)think that Portia is an escape artist, I have a 4 foot chain link fence, just like they did and she has never escaped from my yard. Portia is a sweet girl and deserves to live where she will be loved and kept safe. She was born on October 13, 2011 so is getting ready to turn 3 years old. As I said earlier, she is a shih tzu/border terrier mix, has a wiry coat and weighs just about 18 pounds. Portia is spayed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on hw and flea preventative and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. (Less)
