Rescue Me ID: 14-11-24-00139Savage (male)

Boston Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

No you are not seeing things, I am not a pug! My name is Savage and I am a Boston Terrier. I was taken to a shelter with my pug sister and when MAPR came to get her they took me too. Thank goodness! My prior owners told the shelter that I am four years old. I am very well behaved and love to snuggle. I am happy with a chew toy and occasionally will play with a stuffed toy. I really love to sit on your lap and to sleep with you. Well I have told you all the wonderful things about me but I need to tell you one minor negative about myself, I am blind. I do extremely well with it and can make my way all around the house and even up and ... (Read More)down flights of stairs. I do get one drop per day in one eye for some mild glaucoma but I am very good about letting my foster mom give me the drop. I am neutered, housebroken, up to date on my vaccinations and have a microchip. The only thing I need now is a forever home to love me because I will definitely love them back! (Less)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet London, a three year old female bulldog mix. She's about 50 lbs and super friendly. She loves other dogs & people as well. She loves her toys and would probably do best in a home with kids over 10 as she might be a bit too playful for really little ones.

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-19-00058Piper (female)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This amazing girl is Piper and she's a Boston Terrier and Pointer mix. She was dealt a really bad hand. We rescued her incredibly pregnant from Gaston County AC. She went to a 'luxury boarding facility' who then decided they didn't want her, she went to a foster who loved her very much and 4 days after arriving she had 10 puppies. When the pups were about 4 weeks old Piper got a sever case of mastitis. She went the ER vet who although we paid them to treat her, they did and when we picked her up the next morning to take her to our vet we were socked to find her near death. We rushed her to the vet where they closed an 8-10' gaping hole where ... (Read More)her skin had died. When she was in recovery she couldn't be around her puppies, no one would foster her while she recovered so she sat at the vet, for weeks. Then a foster came forward, they were not a good fit (to say it very nicely) and she went into boarding. We were so excited because after she had been in boarding a little while a family came forward with a child with brittle bone disease who needed a calm and sweet dog who wouldn't jump. They were smitten with Piper and took her home. After 5 days they decided they no longer wanted her, she wasn't nice to neighbors dogs. Piper is a wonderful girl who has now been in rehab boarding for quite a while and is now doing really well playing with other dogs. She needs a proper home to love her and allow her time to decompress. I believe she's dominant, so submissive or no other dogs a plus. She also is said to be fine with cats, and she loves kids!!!Anyone?? Please?? There is no dog out there who deserves an amazing home more than sweet Piper. (Less)

This is Osbourne and Simmons and yes they are brothers. They have this funky attachment to each other. They play together and they sleep together. Gave each one their own crate but that didn't work, had to get up in the middle of the night and put them back into the crate together because they were both crying for each other. They are funloving and full of mischief and yes they do get themselves into a spot of trouble now and then, but nothing serious. They are really great boys and need to have a home of their own. They even graduated the eight week 'New Leash on Life' basic training program together. They have been together their whole ...
