No you are not seeing things, I am not a pug! My name is Savage and I am a Boston Terrier. I was taken to a shelter with my pug sister and when MAPR came to get her they took me too. Thank goodness! My prior owners told the shelter that I am four years old. I am very well behaved and love to snuggle. I am happy with a chew toy and occasionally will play with a stuffed toy. I really love to sit on your lap and to sleep with you. Well I have told you all the wonderful things about me but I need to tell you one minor negative about myself, I am blind. I do extremely well with it and can make my way all around the house and even up and down flights of stairs. I do get one drop per day in one eye for some mild glaucoma but I am very good about letting my foster mom give me the drop. I am neutered, housebroken, up to date on my vaccinations and have a microchip. The only thing I need now is a forever home to love me because I will definitely love them back! (Less)

Meet London, a three year old female bulldog mix. She's about 50 lbs and super friendly. She loves other dogs & people as well. She loves her toys and would probably do best in a home with kids over 10 as she might be a bit too playful for really little ones.

Hi my name is Pearl, and I am searching for my forever family. I was left tied to a tree when my family moved away. When I was abandoned, another feral dog in the neighborhood attacked me and my puppies (all but one of which were killed ?). After several days a neighbor called animal control and they came and took me and my remaining puppy away. We stayed at the shelter a week. The shelter didn't have a lot of room. I heard some people say it was our last day because we were at a high kill facility. My puppy got adopted, but I did not, and then on my last day a lady came and took me home. She says she named me Pearl because inside that sad shelter she found a wonderful treasure and she wanted me to have a name that matched my personality. I am in a temporary foster right now and am in dire need of a forever home. My foster mom tells me what a smart and affectionate girl I am. I am very loving and bond quickly with my human caregivers. I am housetrained and have very good manners. No one is really sure what kind of dog I am. The vet said I am probably a mix of Boston terrier and Staffordshire terrier. I am up to date on all of my vaccinations. I am around three years old and I weigh 47 pounds. I love people and enjoy being with my foster mom and her family very much. I also get along well with other dogs. I do very well on a leash, and my foster mom has worked with a trainer to give me some basic commands like 'sit', 'leave it', 'lie down' and 'stay' and everyone says I am a quick study and a good listener. However, I am not aggressive at all - unless you call excessive licking aggressive. My foster mom says that I am not good with cats because I chase them. If you have room in your heart for me, I will be your loyal and loving friend for life. If you would like to meet me, please call my foster mom Kathi Warren at 240-462-1388 or Kim Chappell, who rescued me from the shelter, at 919-924-8432. This is a sweetheart of a house dog. Loves everyone she meets including kids and is a little clown. Very friendly, trainable, tolerates crate well, but is also trustworthy outside crate. Abandoned by previous owners and rescued on last day at shelter. In need of a permanent home.

|Animal ID: 2-16-00129Ozz and Sims (male)|
This is Osbourne and Simmons and yes they are brothers. They have this funky attachment to each other. They play together and they sleep together. Gave each one their own crate but that didn't work, had to get up in the middle of the night and put them back into the crate together because they were both crying for each other. They are funloving and full of mischief and yes they do get themselves into a spot of trouble now and then, but nothing serious. They are really great boys and need to have a home of their own. They even graduated the eight week 'New Leash on Life' basic training program together. They have been together their whole life so I will not separate them now, so if you are ready to take on a couple of precious young fellows Oz and Simms are for you. Adoption fee $250.00 (Less)

Boston Terrier Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Boston Terriers, or Boston Bulls, are small, intelligent dogs. Boston Terriers are gentle and sensitive but can be very playful and rambunctious. Boston Terriers are easy to train since they like to learn and want to please their masters; however, they can be difficult to housebreak. Boston Terriers are exceptionally good with children and the elderly. Boston Terriers do not bark without good reason. Boston Terriers can live in an apartment or in the country, but they are sensitive to extremely hot or cold weather.
