Rescue Me ID: 15-02-25-00564Piper (female)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

She was pulled from Gaston County AC in the end of February. She gave birth to 10 puppies all which survived. She was an excellent momma. Then she got a bad case of Mastitis. She was rushed to the ER vet within minutes. As if this wasn't enough the ER vet acted negligently which took her case of Mastitis from bad to life threatening and caused a 8' gaping hole which had to be surgically closed with multiple stitches and 10 staples. No one would step up to foster her during recovery period of 2 weeks and she could t return to her previous foster because she couldn't produce milk, if she heard her 4 week old pups she would have produced milk, ... (Read More)so she stayed at the vet. Finally a foster stepped forward for her. She went to a foster home who wasn't as educated in dogs as they said they were. They caused her serious confidence issues and it was a truly awful environment for her (or any other dog in our opinion). So she found herself in boarding. After months in boarding she was adopted out to a home with a child with brittle bone disease. Piper is so incredibly calm, she was a wonderful match. However they were not comfortable with giving Piper time to properly adjust to other dogs in the neighborhood or walking her with a harness do eliminate her pulling due to excitement. So they dropped her off at boarding. After months in boarding we were so excited to be contacted by a family with 3 kids and no other animals that lived in a quaint home on acres of land. They went and met Piper and just loved her. They immediately took her to petsmart and got her a collar and returned home and gave her a bath. Everything was going well. However 48 hours later it was clear Piper wasn't a good fit for their family. She is about 50lbs and can knock a small child over, of course by accident and she will need a period of time, at least 2 weeks to adjust and calm down before making any judgements. This girl deserves the most amazing home. She's been through the worst and still through all of this she's a very very calm and sweet girl. She just wants a secure home where she can feel safe and trust her family and be loved and love in return. She's about 2-3 she's what looks to be an American Pit Bull Terrier mix however DNA (I know most rescues find these unreliable but I feel it worth mentioning) said Boston terrier and based on her size and some of her personality traits we believe there is pointer in there somewhere. She's good with dogs with a proper introduction, don't know about cats. Good with kids but she is 50lbs and can knock a child down so I guess older or dog savvy children only... (Less)

George is a neutered male Australian Cattle Dog with a splash of Boston Terrier who is pretty much perfect. If you are looking for an easy going, laid back, loving and devoted sidekick George is your man. He loves everybody, and especially loves men. Car rides are his absolute favorite thing and he just curls up on the floorboard so he barely takes up any room. Rescue Me ID: 15-01-17-00208Cosmo (male)

Boston Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cosmo is a 2 year old, 25lb, happy-go-lucky guy. Cosmo gets along with other dogs and is a good, well-mannered dog who loves to give kisses, snuggle with people, play with other pets, go on car rides, and chew his bones. Cosmo's curiosity can trigger a bit of leash pulling, but other than that he is fairly good on the leash. Also, he does not do well of leash, unless you're in a fenced in area. He is house trained and would be mortified if he had an accident. Although he does well in an apartment, he really enjoy the outdoors. I this handsome boy sounds like the companion for you, please do not hesitate to apply.

Meet London, a three year old female bulldog mix. She's about 50 lbs and super friendly. She loves other dogs & people as well. She loves her toys and would probably do best in a home with kids over 10 as she might be a bit too playful for really little ones.
