Come meet 'Billy'. Billy is about a year old. He is Neutered and UTD on his shots. Billy is also micro-chipped. Billy's adoption fee is $150. We believe Billy is a mix of Boston Terrier & American Staffordshire Terrier. His big head is all AmStaff, but the rest of this playful little guy, is all Boston. But of course we only guessing. Billy came to us in October and was adopted. Through no fault of his own, things happened beyond his control and Billy has come back to us. He has been back with us (2 cats, and 6 fosters) for a few weeks and is doing great. He is a submissive little dude for the most part, but likes to rough and tumble play with the best of them. If another dog starts to get too rough, he tends to roll over on his back and show his cute tummy. Billy would be great in a home with kids. I don't recommend kitties. While our cats have IMMENSE amounts of patience and tolerate so much from our dogs and random fosters, most cats are not that awesome when it comes to a dog wanting to play with them. And Billy wants to play, that's for sure. Billy walks well on a leash under normal circumstances, takes commands very well. He is very obedient, yet is still distracted sometimes since he is young. He is very easy to re-direct. Billy is crate trained. Although he is housebroken, we recommend that he not be left unsupervised for extensive amounts of time due to his age. He still will find stuff to chew on. I have found that he is perfectly content in an adequately sized dog crate with a 'Kong' with some peanut-butter frozen inside or the equivalent, with access to water if it's while you are at work. He will promptly annihilate any stuffed animal you give him so non-stuffed is best, but he loves socks with knots in them too, during play. Billy currently sleeps in his crate at night due to lack of space on my bed, but I think he would love to sleep with you or at least in your room. He is very mellow when you want him to be. He has a lot of the mannerisms of the AmStaff. He is very gentle when taking treats, non-barky (I think I have heard him bark once), loves to ride in the car (he sits upright like a person if he is in the front seat. He is polite while riding, unless you come to a drive through, but he is still not too bad about it. He has ridden in the truck, canopy cargo area and is usually just sits by the window. If you would like to meet Billy, or have any questions, please call us, or go to our Facebook page, Search for Clean Slate Canine Rescue & Rehabilitation (you do not need to have a Facebook account to check us out). Boston Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. Boston Terriers, or Boston Bulls, are small, intelligent dogs. Boston Terriers are gentle and sensitive but can be very playful and rambunctious. Boston Terriers are easy to train since they like to learn and want to please their masters; however, they can be difficult to housebreak. Boston Terriers are exceptionally good with children and the elderly. Boston Terriers do not bark without good reason. Boston Terriers can live in an apartment or in the country, but they are sensitive to extremely hot or cold weather.
