Rescue Me ID: 16-11-07-00176Hextall (male)

Boston Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

PLEASE READ ON BEFORE CONTACTING ABOUT THIS ADORABLE FACE! Hextall, although a 'Boston' Terrier, is still a cherished Philadelphia (and Dog Town) icon. Hexy is a young, handsome stud at only about 2 years old. He found himself surrendered to ACCT in Philadelphia after an incident in his home with a child. The paperwork paints a general picture of Hexy playing with the daughter in his home, and when she bent down over him, and jumped up and nipped/bit her in the face. At ACCT, he was put on a 10 day bite quarantine, as the city requires for all bites that break skin. This quarantine was particularly traumatizing for a young, anxious dog ... (Read More)who was used to having a home and a family. He was very shut down in his kennel, cowering in the back, surrounded by tons of unfamiliar noises and smells. A Dog Town volunteer (with a soft spot for Boston Terriers) decided to take him home and foster him through the remainder of his bite hold. Hexy was still very nervous, and it took a few days before his foster mom could even really pet him (and even then, she knew there were boundaries involved). After his hold was over, he was taken to Dog Town, where he is doing pretty well with the other dogs. We have discovered he doesn't like to be pet over his head, and we are still completely respecting his boundaries, as he is a nervous dog. Hexy is searching for an understanding adopter, who wants to help him past his 'stranger danger' issues. This means someone who will NOT push him to his limit; respect his boundaries, let him come to you, and don't ever put him in a position where he feels the need to snap. He cannot live with or be around children, as they seem to make him most nervous. He can live with another dog, but slow introductions should be expected. Preferably, anyone who adopts him should be willing to work with a trainer from the beginning, as we want to set Hexy up for success. His most favorite thing in the world is a nice, soft toy, and a good solid tennis ball. He is working on playing 'fetch', and is very smart. He's also crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Hexy isn't the kind of dog we can snuggle on upon walking in our door, but he has still won our hearts, and we only want the very best for this most handsome buddy <3 For an application, email adoptions@dogtown309.com (Less)

Hi! I'm Gringo. Gringo is an all around great dog. He is a 3 Y/O Pit Bull/Boston Terrier Mix. He is UTD on vaccines, and neutered. He is great with children and cats. He is invisible fence trained. He will greet your company at the door with his bone. His favorite things in life are snuggles and playing tug of war. He can even entertain the children. If you hold Gringo while your children hide, when you tell him to find them, he doesn't stop until all are found. Gringo is dog selective, so if you already have a furry friend a meet and greet is a necessity. No small dogs, please. Gringo currently is in kennel and cannot wait to get back in ... (Read More)his very own home to snuggle before the cold winter sets in. If you can give Gringo the loving home he so desires, please email seg2dogs@yahoo.com. for more information and an application.
