Rescue Me ID: 17-05-04-00388Darby (female)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Darby is currently getting some much needed obedience training from the wonderful group at ThunderHawk Canine, LLC and we are looking for a family to be ready to take her into their home at the end of her training who will continue to work with her to build on the solid foundation she is going to be learning. This is a very unique opportunity that was offered to Darby and we are so grateful and hope a family will see the value in this and in Darby! Darby is an active and loving girl who is looking for a family who has as much energy as she does! 9 month-old Darby comes tons of doggy kisses and an eagerness to snuggle! Built like a deer ... (Read More)with a beautiful brindle coat and long tail (but no antlers!), she enjoys toys and racing her friends inside a 6 foot fenced yard. Tummy rubs inspire a squirmy playfulness that shows her joyful nature. At 32 pounds, she will probably become a medium sized dog when fully grown. Her breed is a guess, as it is most times with rescued dogs. We do our best to guess, but it is just that. Darby was pulled from a high kill shelter and will likely need to learn how to live in a home, which will include obedience and potty training complete with patience and understanding. She is a very smart girl and likes to be rewarded with love and treats. Darby would do best in a home where either she is the only dog, or the dog is at least the same size or larger than her due to her high energy drive and no cats. She would be looking for an active family with children over 10. She is fully vetted, spayed, and micro chipped, this girl is ready to go home with the right adopter. Are you that lucky family? Darby is currently located in Cookeville, Tennessee and the adoption fee is $200. Transportation may be available to out of state adopters for an additional cost. If you would like to adopt Darby please fill out our online adoption application at http://safehaventn.com/. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-09-00234GiGi (female)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

GIGI is a Boston Terrier mix female who needs to find a new home. GiGi is estimated to be 2 years old and she weighs 37 pounds. She is thin and may have been roaming on her own for a while. She is very timid and frightened, but she is safe in a foster home now where they are working on building trust and confidence. She has been fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed. She tested negative for heartworm. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport GiGi if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation ... (Read More)toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received. (Less)
