Rescue Me ID: 15-05-20-00152Bella (female)
I have had Bella since she was 6 weeks old and it breaks my heart to have to let someone else have her. She loves to be with people and loves loves someone to play fetch with her. Believe me, you will get tired before she does! She is trained to pee pee pads in the house and also goes outside. She was trained to use the pads due to my work schedule. Her ideal home is with someone that is home all the time that can give her full time attention. She hates to be left alone, if you go to town she wants to go as well. She loves to travel, she has went to Georgia and Florida with me and has enjoyed it very much. She has a commanding bark that she uses when other dogs are around. She doesn't like them to get close to her, she had an encounter with a large dog when she was little and it scared her to death. All the dog did was sniff her but it scared her. She is fine with calm dogs as long as she is the one that is sniffing not them. She tends to be boss and likes it that way. She is very possessive about her owner, ever since she was little she would bark and jump on anyone that hugged me, she is mine and no one else's is what I think she thinks. I recently got married and he has a cat. Bella is very curious about the cat but the cat does not like her so they are kept separated. We have tried getting them together and Bella wants to play but the cat doesn't so they have to be kept separated. This has cause Bella to stress and is unhealthy for her. She doesn't understand why she has to be kept away from the cat and us. I split the time they are put up but Bella expresses her anger by scratching the door and carpet.....needless to say she is causing damage trying to get to us. I am at a loss at what to do. So I am looking for a good home with a fenced in back yard for her, it must be in a loving home that will love her like I do...as a four legged child of mine. She must be a house dog that get to sleep in bed with owner and gets lots of attention. A home with no other pet would be her ideal situation so that there is no one else getting attention. Your reward, a pet that will love you and give you lots of licks and kisses. A faithful companion that will always be by your side. And when you see her with her ears back, she has done something that she knows is wrong and is hoping that you will love her anyway. I am just praying to God that I can find someone that will love her as much as I do and that will give her a good home. (Less)

Animal ID: D150116River (male)
Meet River, a master of the technique affectionately labeled as 'Kung Fu Bunny' by his foster mom. When River is excited for his dinner, he bounces and prances around in an adorable manner - check out his video to see it. We found him as a stray hanging out in the parking lot of a local TN church. He was very hungry at that time, and he still is thrilled to be getting regular meals. River is about 2 years old and sports an ADORABLE crooked underbite. We are guessing that he is a boxer / boston terrier mix. He weighs 41 pounds and could fill out a little more. River is great with other dogs (but wants to chase kitties) and loves to run and play in his foster's fenced yard. He is housetrained and crate trained but would love to sleep in bed with you. River is an easy going guy who loves women but takes a little time to warm up to some men. If you have food, he will be your new best friend! River is outstanding at learning obedience commands - he already knows Sit and is working on Down, Stay, Watch. He's going to be a well trained boy very soon! (Less)

Animal ID: 15-01-03-00193Beau (male)
Beau is a charming, loving 2 yr old boy weighing 55 lbs. Loves to play and run but would also enjoy cuddling up and watching TV with you. Beau was transfered to foster care on Valentines Day. Which is fitting considering his sweetheart status and all. He was at the Huntingdon Pound in Huntingdon, TN (since October 2014)..way too long he waited for rescue...he is so deserving to still be alive. Beau was recently tested and is clear of heartworms. Can you be Beau's human? He's being fostered in Milan, TN by Beth and Roger. Please contact Lisa Oatsvall at 731-499-0739.

Rescue Me ID: 13-07-01-00019Lucy (female)
Meet sweet and loveable Miss Lucy. She was a stray that a couple kept until her pups were weaned. Lucy appears to be a Boston Terrier/Boxer mix. She is on the small/medium side weighing between 35-40 lbs. We gave her the birthday of 2/14/12. Lucy was a very good mommy to her pups. She is such a gentle girl. Now it is time for her to find a forever home full of love. She is house trained, crate trained, leash trained. Lucy gets along great with other dogs. She enjoys swimming and lots of petting. Lucy is ready for her forever family who will give her belly rubs.

Boston Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Boston Terriers, or Boston Bulls, are small, intelligent dogs. Boston Terriers are gentle and sensitive but can be very playful and rambunctious. Boston Terriers are easy to train since they like to learn and want to please their masters; however, they can be difficult to housebreak. Boston Terriers are exceptionally good with children and the elderly. Boston Terriers do not bark without good reason. Boston Terriers can live in an apartment or in the country, but they are sensitive to extremely hot or cold weather.
