Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00068Tucker (male)

Boston Terrier    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Tucker is a 7 month old, 13 pound male Boston Terrier that has been surrendered to PPR. He was purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old and soon discovered to be deaf. The family worked with him for a while but soon realized they did not have the time or experience to work with a deaf dog. Tucker is very sweet and his prior owners have taught him hand signals to sit. He is very bright and learns quickly. He needs an owner that is going to take time and has patience in learning how to train him. He loves the other dogs and is very playful. He is a typical puppy and wants to be with you everywhere you go. He is in to everything, which ... (Read More)tells you, he is very healthy, except for his hearing. He is not house broken yet, but is doing much better, because of the pack influence. He loves children and will most likely chase cats. He would be best in a home with older children, because of his high energy. Tucker is neutered, vaccinations up to date, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $200. If interested please submit an application from poquitapawsrescue.org. (Less)

'ۢ We have LOTS of precious fur babies available for adoption, please come meet them at the Addison PetSmart - 3800 Belt Line, Addison, TX 75001 - every Saturday and Sunday from 1-6. Our adoption fees include a grooming with nail trim - all vaccines - deworming - a complete health check - a HW test if old enough - microchip - rabies - spay/neuter - and a PetSmart adoption starter kit that includes $5 off a six-month supply of HW preventative - a free %BD-hour private training session with a PetSmart accredited pet trainer - a free bag of food - a free doggie day camp session - a free overnight stay in a PetSmart PetsHotel - a free vet ... (Read More)exam at Banfield - grooming coupons - over $400 of coupons/savings - and MUCH MORE! We have a two-step adoption process. First, you submit an application, which is presented to our Board for approval or rejection. If approved, a home check is done, and if that passes - you adopt which includes a 1-week trial period, if - for any reason during that first week, the adoption is not working out, you can return the dog for a full refund of your adoption fee. ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))PS - WE NEED FOSTER HOMES FOR ANIMALS! Fosters are the backbone of animal rescue. In most EVERY shelter - in most EVERY county - in most EVERY city - animals r being euthanized (KILLED) daily due to overcrowding - dog - cat - large - small - male - female - puppy - kitten - old - young. We cannot save them without foster homes. APPROXIMATELY ONE OUT OF THREE ANIMALS THAT ENTER A SHELTER IS EUTHANIZED. These healthy sweet pets would have made great companions. Don't know what fostering is? Briefly - it is babysitting an animal until it is adopted. FOSTERING IS FREE TO DO! Most rescues cover all expenses for fosters, and anything they do not cover is tax-deductible. If u cannot foster - please ask your friends and family to. If u want more information - Google 'animal fostering.' I'm begging - it's only temporary but lives can't be saved unless people step up - PLEASE - shelters are overflowing - when you foster one animal - you save two lives - the one you foster and the one that gets his/her space in the shelter. If you can/will foster - let me know, I thank you - and the animals thank you! PS - Have you ever dreamed of helping a rescue but don't have the time, space, or just plain don't know what to do? At your pet limit? Allergic? Can't have pets where you live? Well - how about becoming a VIRTUAL FOSTER... You can choose a minimum amount of $10 a month to 'virtually' foster a homeless animal of your choice (of course, a larger sum would be happily accepted and appreciated). What does Virtual Foster mean? Our foster fur babies typically have many veterinary bills, as this is the nature of being rescued. There are also other expenses related to the ongoing care and rehab of fosters. As a Virtual Foster, your donation will go towards the vetting - medical care, and general care of the animal you have chosen. Your donation will go a LONG way in ensuring a foster dog receives the needed care and attention! In return for your kind donation, you will receive a periodic update on the progress of your foster. Once your foster is adopted, you will be notified so that you can choose another animal to virtually foster. If you genuinely cannot adopt or foster, there are still other ways to help. Sponsor an adoption or medical treatment. Volunteer your time - drive for transports, rescue groups always need dogs transported from one place to the next. Donate money, our rescue is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, all donations are tax deductible. Educate - spread the word about the need for fosters. Sign up for notifications from your local rescue group or shelter, and share the animals in need on social media, there are so many ways to help - thank you, please share this post (Less)

This handsome fella is Finnegan (Finn). He is a shy boy. He does seem to be dog friendly however I do recommend slow introductions. He needs time to warm up to new people. He takes time to trust. He is not aggressive at all, just shy and scared. He is very sweet and very playful. Once he is comfortable , can be very playful with his human. He is kennel trained and house trained although he may mark in a new environment at first. He definitely needs a yard.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-13-00105Mills (male)

Boston Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! I'm Mills and there are two important things you should know about me right away. First, I am a sweet, adorable, fun dog. Second, I really hate the adoption center and I'm usually not on my best behavior. But take me home and give me a day to settle in and I PROMISE - You will see the true me! I've had a pretty tough life. My front leg was broken and not taken care of so it's shorter than my other one and I have a bb in one of my back legs, but I just make the most of it. I love to go on walks and get so excited when the leash comes and I can do just fine. I'm potty trained and I know to go outside. I get along great with my foster big ... (Read More)brother dog. Sometimes we run and play but he can be a bit rough. They have 2 cats here and I am learning that they are off limits. They are both bigger than me anyway. My foster mom is doing some clicker training with me. I love, love, love earning treats! We are working on the 'touch' command and 'come' commands and I am learning fast. Next, we'll work on 'sit' and 'down'. I sleep quietly in my little round bed all night and don't bother anything, as long as you put your socks away. I'm a heavy sleeper so don't startle me as I may wake up and be scared. It does take me a little bit to warm up to new men but as long as you give me a little bit of space, approach me gently, and let me know that you are another source of treats, we'll be friends in no time. I like to do everything that you do: watch baseball with my foster dad, explore the yard with my brother, ride in the car, sunbathe on the porch, and even do yoga and meditate! I can't wait to meet my forever family. I promise if you give me a chance you won't be sorry! Mills is good with other dogs and tolerates cats. Like many small breed mixes, he would do good in a family with adults or teen-age children. Mills is a Male Boston Terrier / Chihuahua Mix that we estimate to be around 3 years old and weighs about 10.5 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_application_to_adopt.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you!
